The Inaugural Inland Regional Policy Summit

Inland Southern California, which includes all of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, is home to 4.5 million residents and has been built on decades of rapid population growth and diversification. Our region’s influence and presence is increasingly being felt on policy decisions at the state and federal levels, but much remains to be done.

The Inaugural Inland Regional Policy Summit held a series of productive conversations on the ways this region can better work together to advance common interests. The four areas that were the focus of the summit were:

  1. Housing affordability
  2. Cap and trade implementation
  3. Water policy changes
  4. Higher education access

This inaugural summit is only the beginning of future convenings to bring the Inland Empire together and ensure that our region’s needs are represented at all levels of government.
