"It was always going to be an uphill climb for Republicans to woo Indian-American voters and donors, but I think that task has been made that much more difficult now because Harris's candidacy is historic," said Karthick Ramakrishnan, a professor of political science at the University of California Riverside who conducted the survey. He said Ms. Harris's addition to the Biden ticket could particularly help boost turnout among young Indian-American voters.
