Asian American political presence grows

The 2020 U.S. Election brought out a high turnout from registered voter participation in the election. Among the groups with a growing presence is the Asian American population. According to Karthick Ramakrishnan, president of AAPI Data, "These are your classic swing voters." According to AAPI Data, At least 158 Asian Americans ran for state legislatures in 2020, up by 15% from 2018.
