Event: Clean energy future for Southern California

By The Editorial Board, The OCR |

With climate change as a major concern and with the policy priorities of both federal and state government, Southern California is poised to chart a different economic future with clean energy and transportation as the driving force.

What do these aspirations look like in practice? What are the key initiatives already underway? What more needs to be done? And what kind of investments need to be made to make this a reality?

Join us and our esteemed panelists on Thursday, June 24, at 2 pm PT to hear about SoCal's current state of clean energy and what we can expect the future to hold.

The panelists for the event will include:

- Danny Kennedy, chief financial officer of New Energy Nexus

- Mayte Sanchez, director of energy at LA Incumbator

- Sarah White, senior advisors for jobs and the economy at Gov. Newsom's Office of Planning and  Research

- Jawaad Malik, strategy and chief environmental officer at SoCal Gas

SoCal Policy Forum is a partnership of the Southern California News Group (SCNG) and the Center for Social Innovation at UC Riverside, in collaboration with a range of policy and research centers across Southern California.
