Samantha Stanfill
My name is Samantha Stanfill and I am a Business major with a concentration in management at UCR’s School of Business. After graduating from undergraduate I plan on attending Law School to pursue my passion for advocating for others and to utilize my ability to understand others and problem solve.
I grew up in Victorville, Ca with a close knit, big family. I was blessed to be raised in a supportive, loving family. I was raised in competitive soccer for fourteen years of my life and gained my love for competition and working with others through these years. Like many people, during my teenage years I was affected deeply by mental health and went through the trials of that which lead me to my passion for mental health and understanding how others think and process their experiences. Understanding that mental health is a long journey for many, I have grown a lot in the last few years but have continued to love to learn about psychology, sociology, business and law.
I am currently serving as Sigma Kappa Sorority President for the Theta Epsilon chapter, previously serving as the Executive Vice President. These roles have taught me how to work and manage people in roles that I worked hard to be elected into. As Executive Vice President I rewrote and revised our chapters code of conduct and found my love and talent in understanding and implementing laws and sanctions. As of October 2019, I have been the Website Design Student Assistant for the Center for Social Innovation. Here, I focus on three main websites, iecounts, ucrcounts and socialinnovation. I edit and manage all three websites as well as any sub-websites that we may have going on. I focus on external marketing as well with social media posting for iecounts.
The commitment that our community partners show in following their passion projects is inspiring to me, being able to commit themselves to what they see as an important goal and be able to help so many people is inspiring to me. I hope to do half of what they have done in my life to help people.
